The QLS Legal Career Expo for 2009.

This event will bring careers, employment and training opportunities for students and law graduates by connecting legal organisations with thousands of career-minded individuals.

The 2009 QLS Legal Career Expo commences on Thursday 6 August, 2:00-5:00pm at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Additionally, many organisations are participating in our Expo Career Information Program, i.e. numerous short presentations/panel discussions, will be conducted throughout the afternoon. This is an exciting initiative and I invite you to come along on 6 August and see for yourselves.

Sessions include:

2:15pm-2:45pm                Stream 1A — Options in law

                                         Stream 1B — A day in the Life of a Family Lawyer

2:55pm-3:25pm               Stream 2A — Traineeship/PLT

                                        Stream 2B — A day in the Life of a Criminal Lawyer

3:35pm-4:05pm               Stream 3A — Resume writing/tips and tricks on preparing for an interview

                                        Stream 3B — A day in the Life of a Corporate Lawyer

4:15pm-4:45pm               Stream 4A — What it means to be a pro bono volunteer

                                        Stream 4B — A day in the Life of a Litigator
