The program has now been extended to include anthropology and other social science (archaeology, cultural heritage, environmental management, human geography, history and sociology) students and graduates.

The application period for the Winter 2010 round of internships is from Monday 8th March through to Thursday 1st April. Applications can be submitted via the Aurora website at www.auroraproject.com.au

The deadline for applications is March 1st, 2010. Late applications may still be considered depending on circumstance and available space in program.

To be considered for the program, applicants should submit the following:  application form, current resume/curriculum vitae, statement of purpose, writing sample, 2 personal references, the liability and waiver form, proof of insurance, and a photocopy of the applicant’s valid passport.  Preference will be given to applicants who display a strong academic record, interest in human rights and community service, awareness of different cultures, ability work effectively in teams, to be flexible, open minded, a willingness to commit to the full 12 week program and to be connected and support the work BABSEA does during and after completion of the program.

The program costs are $2600 USD. There are a limited amount of partial program cost waivers which will be granted to applicants who demonstrate great financial need and a history of being involved in human rights/community service projects.

We are a small firm located in New Farm and I am looking for a secretary for an immediate start to work, on a casual basis, for a minimum of three (3) days per week.  The successful applicant will work predominately with me and consequently, the majority of the work will be in the fields of Family and Criminal Law. The successful applicant will also be required to assist other staff members when necessary.  Secretarial experience is preferable although it is not necessary but the applicant must have sound organisational and research skills, be able to work independently and show initiative.
