			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Aurora Native Title Internship Program has been placing law students and graduates from Australian universities at Native Title Representative Bodies (NTRBs) and other organisations involved in policy, social justice and Indigenous affairs since the summer of 2003/2004.  The program introduces candidates to career opportunities in native title and at the same time provides assistance to under-resourced and overworked organizations.   </p>
<p>The program has now been extended to include anthropology and other social science (archaeology, cultural heritage, environmental management,  human geography, history and sociology) students and graduates.</p>
<p>The application period for the Winter 2010 round of internships is from Monday 8th March through to Thursday 1st April. Applications can be submitted via the Aurora website at www.auroraproject.com.au</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Bridges Across Borders Southeast Asia (BABSEA) is currently accepting applications for its 2010 Legal Studies Internship Program.  Entering into its 7th year, the BABSEA Legal Studies Internship Program offers an opportunity to make a real contribution to assisting others in overcoming the hardships and legal inequity in Southeast Asia while being involved in a remarkable experience of living and working in the region.</p>
<p>The deadline for applications is March 1st, 2010. Late applications may still be considered depending on circumstance and available space in program.</p>
<p>To be considered for the program, applicants should submit the following:  application form, current resume/curriculum vitae, statement of purpose, writing sample, 2 personal references, the liability and waiver form, proof of insurance, and a photocopy of the applicant&#8217;s valid passport.  Preference will be given to applicants who display a strong academic record, interest in human rights and community service, awareness of different cultures, ability work effectively in teams, to be flexible, open minded, a willingness to commit to the full 12 week program and to be connected and support the work BABSEA does during and after completion of the program.</p>
<p>The program costs are $2600 USD. There are a limited amount of partial program cost waivers which will be granted to applicants who demonstrate great financial need and a history of being involved in human rights/community service projects.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal">The Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House Incorporated (QPILCH) is a not-for-profit community based legal organisation that coordinates the provision of pro bono legal services for individuals and community groups. As we are a small and under-resourced office, volunteers play an important role in QPILCH achieving its objectives.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We are currently seeking final year law students to volunteer for semester 1.  Applicants must be able to commit to one day per week on any weekday from the week commencing  8 March to the week commencing 31 May. Successful applicants will need to be friendly, flexible, and able to work independently. This is a highly sought-after opportunity for students wishing to apply their knowledge in a legal environment whilst also being able to develop their research and letter writing skills. Past student volunteers have found the experience rewarding as well as beneficial to their future job prospects.</p>
<p>Applications close 5pm Monday 22 February 2010 and successful applicants will be advised by Thursday 25 February. An induction session will be provided to all successful applicants at our office in West End on Thursday 4 March.</p>

<p>We are a small firm located in New Farm and I am looking for a secretary for an immediate start to work, on a casual basis, for a minimum of three (3) days per week.  The successful applicant will work predominately with me and consequently, the majority of the work will be in the fields of Family and Criminal Law. The successful applicant will also be required to assist other staff members when necessary.  Secretarial experience is preferable although it is not necessary but the applicant must have sound organisational and research skills, be able to work independently and show initiative.</p>
