QPILCH Walk for Justice

QUOTALS, in conjunction with the Law Faculty, are organising a team of students to walk in the QPILCH Walk for Justice event to promote Pro Bono Day on 17 May 2010. It will be led by The Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Chief Justice of Queensland.

What: A picturesque 5km walk along the Brisbane River

How Much: Registration is just $5 for students and there are a limited number of faculty-sponsored places (i.e. free) available on a first-in-best-dressed basis so get in fast.

When: Departs the Supreme & District Courts Complex at 7am, 17/05/10

Freebies: You get a free breakfast on the grounds of Old Government House.

Why: Aside from the freebies, the Law Firms send delegates out in their firm’s shirts so you can get your face in their minds before upcoming clerkship interviews, grad interviews, etc.

Why else: QPILCH does great work in our community helping disadvantaged people gain access to legal resources so you would be helping a worthy cause.
