Legal Aid Queensland presents - You Be the Judge
Legal Aid Queensland will once again be presenting its successful hypothetical series — You be the judge — as part of Law Week 2010 celebrations. The event will be held on Wednesday 19 May from 12.30-2.00 pm at the Banco Court in Brisbane.
The hypothetical will see media personality Meshel Laurie leading a panel of experts in a lively, yet informative, discussion about diversionary sentencing options, with a focus on Queensland’s Drug Court program. Panel members will include representatives from the magistracy, Legal Aid Queensland, police prosecutions, Queensland Health, Queensland Corrective Services and an academic with expertise in diversionary sentencing programs. The audience will get the chance to ask questions, make comments and learn more about the Drug Court and other diversionary sentencing options.
