Law Clerk position available
Thiess John Holland has been contracted to design and construct the $4.8 billion Airport Link, Northern Busway (Windsor to Kedron) and Airport Roundabout Upgrade – Australia’s largest transport infrastructure project – scheduled for completion in mid 2012. Airport Link will be the first major motorway connecting Brisbane city with the northern suburbs and Airport precinct. The Northern Busway (Windsor to Kedron) will enhance accessibility to public transport for North side residents and eventually span the city. The Airport Roundabout Upgrade will address south-east Queensland’s most congested intersection, improving traffic flow to and from the airport.
The Thiess John Holland Joint Venture is currently seeking to appoint a law student to assist its busy legal team in the TJH project office at Kedron, Brisbane.
The successful applicant will play a key role in assisting the legal team and will have:
· Achieved good results in introductory legal subjects including contract law
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· A keen interest in commercial law, contract law and infrastructure development
· The ability to meet deadlines in a busy work environment
· Word processing and document layout skills
While completion of post-introductory law subjects is preferred, all promising candidates will be considered.
Flexible working times are available, with the opportunity to vary the number of hours per week as required.
